Telecommunications Corporation announces that the launch of the official experimental phase of the Starlink (satellite internet) service

Engineer Wael Tarmoum today the launch of the official trial phase of the Starlink (Space Internet) service in the liberated governorates, to evaluate the service By a joint technical team from the Foundation and Starlink to ensure the quality of the high-speed satellite internet.
Engineer Tarmoum said in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), “This step comes under the supervision of the Acting Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Waed Badhib, after the Communications Corporation and Starlink Company completed all legal procedures, met technical requirements, completed commercial contractual procedures, and signed the service licensing agreement in early January, so that the Communications Corporation became an authorized agent for Starlink Company in Yemeni lands.”
He explained that during the next phase, work will be done to correct the status of devices currently operating on the international system, and that the service is now available to everyone, and the extent of improvement in the reception service will be evaluated with high efficiency. He pointed out that our country will be in the orbit of official coverage of the satellite Internet service, starting next October, as everyone will notice that the geographical location of Yemen has become apparent in the coverage map on the Starlink website, in a light color after it had previously appeared in a dark color.
He warned the violators against confiscating the devices in their possession, warning citizens not to fall into violations, so that they would not be subject to any fines.
